Brush Rabbit Characteristics

Size: 10-14" in length
Location: Around bushes and shrubs
Brush rabbits are an endangered
Season: Year-round; breed February and August
species that can be found in the Bay
Area. They’re primary consumers as
they are herbivores that feed on grasses o Native
and green clovers. They also tend to
inhabit bush areas, willows, and river
areas. They are largely preyed on by
foxes, coyotes, hawks, and owls. Their
endangered status can be attributed to
to the decrease of bushes and other natural habitats.
