towards a world with greater equality at Valiente ’19, XLRI, Jamshedpur

CEASE, XLRI announces an event to promote gender equality and empowerment of women in
communities surrounding the Steel City. The goal is to weave the dream of equality into one of
reality and here to lead by examples would be-

The barriers and stereotypes that women face are similar and sadly familiar. They can take the form
of discriminatory laws and practices but can also be less tangible, like social norms, deeply
entrenched stereotypes and unconscious bias. This is why this eminent group consists of women
who have risen above these challenges. Across the city, women will be looking and learning from the
experience of this group as to how to break through the ‘glass ceiling’.
