Mrs. Carter discusses activities and lessons from October, which was National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month. Students in grades K-3 played a game called "Pass the Face" to practice facial expressions and empathy. Students in all grades viewed an anti-bullying video called "You Can Be an Upstander" and learned ways to stop bullying by being helpers rather than bystanders. Recommended books for each grade level are also listed. Upcoming lessons in November will focus on personal safety at home, school and in the community through animated videos.
