● Served as a member of the Model Technology Schools Grant Committee at Wheeling Park High
School, creating The Market at Park.
● The Market at Park creates and sells items, using the funding to provide mini grants to
educators and clubs to enhance educational opportunities at the high school.

Professional Learning Community Team Leader 2016-present


● Served as a leader of PLC meetings.
● Created norms, chaired meetings, served as direct communication link between administration
and faculty.

Professional Learning Day Workshop 2019


● Led a technology workshop guiding teachers through the process of linking their Google
Classroom to Khan Academy and how to create assignments geared toward test preparation for
standardized testing.

Professional Development
WV Math Academy Summer Summit 2018
● The 2018 Mathematics Quarterly Meetings focused on algebraic concepts, an area of need as
determined by WV student data.
● Attending teachers deepened their understanding of mathematics to further embrace the rigor
of the WV College and Career Readiness Standards for Mathematics while moving from a rote
understanding of concepts.
● The Mathematics Quarterly Meetings provided an environment in which high school
mathematics teachers learned to problem solve in a learner-centered environment, actively
engaging in discourse with peers around the mathematics, integrating the eight Mathematical
Habits of Mind into daily instruction and increasing student engagement with mathematics.
● The meetings facilitated teachers' meta-cognitive reflection on their own teaching practice and
provided access points for them to change their instructional practices.

● Attended a three day training on Inventionland.
● Learned hands-on, project based learning that teaches real-world knowledge needed to
succeed in the classroom and in life.
