Should be an argumentative essay as per question manual. Objectives (Questions given) –
Discuss the answer theoretically then support it with your case. Findings/Answers should be 1
or 2 lines.
I. Discuss the competitive challenges of the airline industry in the 21st century.
II. What are the primary causes for the sudden change in employee morale at
Continental Airlines? Explain.
III. If you were the manager of a distressed organization, what specific steps
would you take to turn the organization around [use Continental Airlines as an
example]?
IV. List five specific HR policies or practices that you think that Continental [now
UNITED] should implement to improve performance over the next decade?

Presentation Format
1. Introduction 4 – 6 slides (4 – 5 minutes)
2. Main Body 5 – 6 slides (15 – 18 Minutes)
3. Conclusion 1-2 slides (2 minutes)
4. Recommendation 1-2 slides (2 minutes) after recommendation must have 1 slide listing
the objectives you are given.
