successfully the online safety introduction of the Trianel Windpark Borkum II.

The above named person confirmed that he/she received the HSE-manual as well as the emergency
response plan TWB and understood the content.
The above named person has been inducted into following contents, amongst others and has been prompted
to ask open questions before the next operation to TWB II.

Safety policy for all operations in the offshore Trianel Windpark Borkum II, regardless of work for the
operation of the wind farm or for research purposes is as follows:

1 Vessels and environment


- Water pollution must be promptly combated and reported, see Emergency response plan TWB.
- Waste on board and in the offshore installations is collected and disposed or recycled onshore,
especially cigarette butts.
- Hazardous goods must be marked accordingly and registered at the Marine Coordination Center (MCC).

2 Personnel and equipment

General safety rules


- Work safety procedures must be observed.
- Alcohol and drugs are prohibited / Smoking is only allowed in designated areas.
- Required permissions must be obtained. Consider work permit system TWB II.
- Consider weather forecasts and organize weather-dependent operations accordingly.
- Working hours must comply with legal requirements.
- Personal protection equipment must be worn according to the detected hazards during work.
Lifejackets must allow a buoyancy of at least 275 N.
- Proof of valid certificates or inspection certificates must be given for the equipment applied.
- Rescue and escape routes must be kept free, instructions for rescue procedures must be carried out.
- Flammable material must be removed / minimized immediately.
- Risks of stumbling must be removed, if possible. If not possible they must be marked accordingly.
- Any indisposition must be reported to the supervisor.
- Taking of medicine only available on prescription must be indicated.

General safety rules onshore
Servicebase TWB II:
- Show respect for working personnel, don’t talk loudly.
- Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.
- Hygienic instructions must be observed.
- On demand of TWB II personnel or when alarm is raised proceed to muster station
and follow instructions of personnel.
- Incidents must be reported immediately.
- Instructions of the TWB II personnel must be followed.

Route to the pier alpha ventus / crew transport vessel:


- Use traffic routes properly and pay attention to traffic.
- Distance to quay border must be at least 1 m; otherwise lifejacket must be applied.
- A lifejacket is worn, when working in a distance < 2 m to the open quay side
- Reflective clothing must be worn.

4 Safety rules offshore


- All persons on board must participate in board internal safety instructions.
- Only personnel with the corresponding offshore qualifications may be appointed.
- Instructions / toolbox meetings must be carried out prior to taking up work.
- Communication among each other and onshore/offshore must be kept in mind.
- Rescue of an injured person must be carried out in accordance with the rescue procedure and
depending on the rescue measure chosen.
- Ascent is only permitted by using a fall protection system (boat landing procedure).
- Specified PPE must be worn. At least 3 persons on a TP and 3 persons on the substation.
- Do not hang or attach items to cables, pipings, protective covers, guards, protective strips, housings of electrical
equipment, fire extinguishers, fire pipings or similar equipment/device.
- Luggage may not be carried along upon ascent or descent.
- Prior to work commencement an induction in the local arrangement of the WTG / TP or the substation is held by the
supervisor on site.
- Only rooms which are stated in the work order shall be entered on the substation.
- Location of rescue equipment / survival packages is drawn in the corresponding escape and rescue plans.

5 Crane work
- Cranes may only be operated by personnel with crane license who are instructed in crane operations.
- Only certified and inspected lifting gears / transport containers may be used. SWL must be considered.
- Prior to use of lifting gears / transport containers visual inspections must be carried out.
- Tug lines must be used. For loads above 500 kg a lift plan must be issued.
- Do not enter the area below floating loads and do not remain within the pivoting range of the crane.

6 Obligation to report
- Work accidents, incidents and near misses must be reported within 24 hours in written form.
- The names of the persons who enter the offshore installations must be communicated to the MCC.
- Other incidents, events or observations which could imply a danger must be promptly reported to the MCC. (Tetra)
