It covers four common competencies that a high school student ought to possess, namely: 1) using and maintaining tools, equipment and paraphernalia; 2) performing
COURSE DESCRIPTION mensuration and calculation; 3) interpreting technical drawing and plans and; 4) applying food safety and sanitation. The preliminaries of this exploratory course
include the following: 1) discussion on the relevance of the course; 2) explanation of key concepts relative to the course and; 3) exploration on career opportunities.

KEY STAGE STANDARD The student demonstrates understanding of the five competencies that a Grade 7/8 Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) student ought to possess through
(GRADES 7 AND 8) having knowledge, performing, interpreting, and practicing aimed toward the development and nurturance of the said competencies.
