NUTRITION MONTH OPENING DAY

“July is intended for nutrition month celebration. Nutrition month is one way of reminding everyone to be
healthy. Not just for the whole month of July but also for the rest of your life. ”

On July 01, 2019, Monday, at 7:30 am, Usmad National High School launched an opening
program for the nutrition month celebration, headed by the STEPP club organization. The opening program
started by a flag ceremony. Followed by an opening speech by Mrs. Rosemariwen G. Renes, Principal I of
Usmad National High School. After that was the yell contest. Each section performed their yell in connection
to the theme "Kumain ng wasto at Maging aktibo; Push natin to! ". All of the performances were good but
the judges picked the one who stood out and proclaimed the “Grade-12 Pythagoras” as the champion. After
the yell contest was the "Amazing Race". Each section had to choose a pair from their class as their
representative in the said race. The participants has to undergo challenges from 10 stations.

Moreover, each stations has 2 corresponding tasks to be accomplished by the participants and
whoever will finish first will be the winner. All the participants enjoyed performing the tasks in each stations.
The first pair to finish the tasks from 10 stations will be declared as the winner. The winner was the Grade 11
Descartes.

It was indeed a successful opening program. Students and teachers participated well during
that time. They were able to prove that their abilities were not only about learning something but they
showed that they had the power to engaged in anything.
