NARRATIVE REPORT

NUTRITION MONTH OPENING ACTIVITY

Every learner must develop holistically. Therefore, we educators should ensure not only
the mental state but also physical health of our learners. In line with this goal, Caduawan
Elementary School celebrates the Nutrition Month annually. Yesterday, we had the opening
activity headed by our dynamic School Principal Mrs. Gerarda S. Monsales with the help of our
barangay officials. The opening activity started with an assembly of different classes on the
school ground. Each class has their own banners. Every pupil wears a hat accentuated with
their desired fruits and vegetables. Some even brought with them their favorite nutritious food.
Next to the assembly was the parade participated by the school’s Drum and Lyre Corp who also
showed the banner with this year’s theme : Healthy Diet, gawing Habit for Life. followed by
the pupils from kindergarten to grade six with their respective teachers and some of their
parents.

Through the aid of the barangay officials who secure the safety of the participants, the
parade successfully ended within the school ground despite the hazards of doing it in a national
highway where constant vehicles pass by. Before the opening activity ends, the school principal
gave a speech to officially open the celebration of the Nutrition Month. She also reminded
everyone regarding the activities to be done this coming July 31, 2017 for the Nutrition Month
Culminating Activity.
