4. Temperature and Pressure Table

The temperature of saturated steam (pure steam) is of certain degree under different pressure,
here is the comparison table between temperature (inside chamber) and pressure.
Pressure(Bar) Temperature(℃)
0.0 100
0.2 105
0.7 115
1.1 121
1.7 130
2.1 134

Looking into the relationship between temperature and pressure when adjusting or working
normally, you will find under normal circumstances, the lower the pressure, the larger the
deviation between temperature and pressure. For instance, when pressure is 0.0bar, the
temperature is about 97℃. But when pressure rises to 2.1bar, the temperature will be 134℃.
Small deviation (±1℃) is allowed under low-pressure.

5. Attentions while Adjusting

a. Each technician who tests or inspects the machine should know the working principle
very well;
b. All technicians should know exactly the positions of high and low voltage parts to avoid
electroshock;
c. Make sure the door is closed completely before running cycles;
d. When alarm appears, please record the error code, pressure and temperature before
turning off the machine;

6. Normal Cycling Status

a. No alarming during cycle;

b. At the beginning of sterilization cycle, when pressure is 2.1bar, temperature is 134℃
(±1℃); when pressure is 1.1bar, temperature is 121℃ (±1℃);
c. During the sterilization cycle, the range of pressure and temperature is 2.0~2.2bar,

SMM-B-02| Page 4 of 51
Sterilizer Maintenance Manual-TANZO Touch series

133~135℃, or 1.0~1.2bar, 120~123℃;

d. The temperature in the chamber is 120~123℃, or 133~136℃;
e. The program could be finished completely without any pipeline leakage and can be
restarted.

7. Programs and Working Condition of Sterilizer

1. E01: Heat up Slow

Problem Description:
The pressure cannot reach the set value after 30mins of heating and pressure program.

Problem Reason:
1. Water vapor appears from the cover fitted or a sound of “hissing” during heating and
pressure program, it means door gasket leaked: because too much steam during cycles,
result in leakage due to the door gasket is ejected, out of sharp, weakened sealing effect;
2. Weaken sealing effect of the safety valve bolt due to shaking or other possible reasons;
3. Weaken heating effect of the heating ring due to the port connected the heating ring and
PCB is loose, short circuit or broken;
4. Vacuum pump fails to work (no sound) during vacuum condition, result in pressure
cannot match with temperature when heating stage, and then enter adjustment condition
more than 10mins: 1. The wire of vacuum pump is loose, or broken; 2. The capacity of
vacuum pump is broken; 3. The vacuum valve(black line) is blocked or fails to open;
5. The water supply valve is blocked or broken, fails to supply water for steam generator;
6. The water pump is broken, fails to supply enough water for steam generator;
7. The air return valve is broken or leaked result in pipeline leakage during pressure stage;
8. The normal-open valve is leaked or broken result in pipeline leakage during pressure
stage;
9. The vacuum valve is leaked or broken result in pipeline leakage during pressure stage;
10. The temperature of steam generator less than 160degree due to the heating stick of steam
generator is broken, result in the water pump fails to supply water.
11. The steam generator is blocked or weakened heating effect, and fails to supply enough
steam for chamber, due to using non-designated water or non-scheduled cleaning
program.

Solution:
1. Check if the door gasket is normal, or change it according to the steps as below.

Door Gasket

Sterilizer Maintenance Manual-TANZO Touch series

Tool: a plain screw driver without sharp head is needed.

1. Hold verge of the gasket by one hand 2. Pull out the whole seal slowly once took
softly, and insert the screwdriver into the one part of the gasket out. Then check and
gap between gasket and door, take out the clean the gasket and the groove of the
seal slowly. gasket, replace the gasket if any damage.

3. Equablyinsert4 spots into groove firstly

4. Check the door gasket carefully, and
when fix the clean gasket, and then insert
insert the possible ectropion of the gasket
other parts. After that, press the gasket
into groove by screwdriver carefully.
equably by hand.

2. Check if the relief valve is leaked during pressure stage. If yes, tighten the switch on the
valve, or change the valve.

Relief valve is in the bottom of the back.

To screw the switch counter means open,
and screw clockwise means close.

3. Forced quit the cycle if the sterilizer fails to enter vacuuming state after 15mins. Then
wear the gloves to touch the surface of inside chamber. If no heat or less heat, check if the
lines which connect heating ring and PCB are normal. Or change the heating ring.

4. Connection problem: the buttons are out of order without any sound;
5. The PCB is broken.

Solution:
1. Drain water from used water tank;

Note: Drained water temperature should be lower than 70C. If higher than that, please
check if Fan is in good condition.
2. Fill distilled water automatically or manually;
Automatically: Plug the water pipe with adding connection, and then keep long press

the button;

Manually: add the water till hear a sound of “di, di”, and then press the button to
enter MENU.

Note: If water short alarms during sterilization cycle, don’t’ worry, water inside is
enough to complete full cycle. But fill sufficient water before next cycle.
3. Check if door handle is locked properly. And check the door micro-switch by pressing
down. Check if the micro-switch is normal if door locking icon doesn’t stop flashing, or
replace it;

3. Fail to Open the Door

Problem Reasons:
1. Negative pressure in the chamber due to air cannot return completely after sterilization;
2. If leave the door closed after sterilization, it is a sealed space in the chamber. When the
hot chamber air colds down, it creates negative pressure, result in the door locked.
Caution Do not close the door when finish the sterilization cycle.

Solution:
1. Turn on power switch, the air return valve will open, and then try to open the door;
2. Find relief valve at rear cover, open it counter-clockwise to make the air return to the
chamber.
Caution If the door cannot open frequently, clean or replace the air return valve.

2. When the used water tank is full and after draining water, Icon sparkles.

Problem Reason:
1. The high or low water level sensor out of order (Clean water tank);
2. Water level sensor out of order (Used water tank).

Solution:
1. Check if the water level sensor is normal. It is normal to hear a sound of “dip, dip” when
toggle the high/low water level sensor. Or change it;

SMM-B-02| Page 38 of 51

Appendix 1: Initial Fine Adjustment

The parameters of autoclaves are set before leaving factory and no need to be adjusted under
normal circumstances. But due to different terrain and altitude which cause difference of
atmospheric pressure, temperature and pressure cannot reach sterilization state(differ about
1℃-3℃), and keep automatically adjusting to not enter into sterilization state. Do the initial
temperature and pressure fine adjustment program to change this condition.

1. Enter the adjustment interface: press “MENU” to enter “SYSTEM SET”, and then
choose “User Message”;

2. Then input the password “1111” to “factory set”. Check the “pressure” item, 10 times
than the shown figure (e.g.: set it +10KPA if shows -1.0KPA), then store it;

3. Return to the standby interface to check if the problem has been solved.
