Electronic Engineer with specialization in automation and control. More than 10 years of experience in the Oil industry particularly in
wells optimization with Artificial Lift Systems (ALS): SRPs, PCPs, ESP, LRPs ESP and other pumping systems.

Experience
UNICO / Field Engineer Mar 2005 – Jun 2016
 Optimization of oil wells (Offshore and Onshore) with Artificial Lift Systems (ALS) in SRPs, PCPs, ESPs, LRPs and other pumping
systems as well as Gas lift.
 Installation, testing, repairing, monitoring and troubleshooting AC and DC high-performance VSDs (UNICO) and electric
submersible pumps onshore and offshore.
 Execute in-depth failure analysis of VSDs and proposed corrective actions.
 Ensure compliance with the HSE procedures and normative.
 Execute facilities maintenance plans, well surveillance, and simulation and ?optimization.
 Train new operators on UNICO VSDs (drives), Gas lift and Artificial Lift Systems such as LRPs.

ZULIA STATE FINANTIAL CONTROLLER OFFICE / Project Engineer Mar 2001 – Jan 2005

 In charge of multiple state-owned construction projects that included buildings such as hospitals and schools.
 Determine project schedule by studying project plans and their specifications; calculating time requirements and sequencing project
elements.
 Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends and recommending further actions.
 Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements and assigning personnel to them.
 Prepare accurate cost analyses of all developing projects and forecast accurate project completion dates.
 Ensure optimum performance of the function. Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies,
lower costs, take advantage of opportunities, and maintain state-of-the-art practices.
 Direct and oversee construction projects from their conception to final completion while monitoring compliance with safety and
building regulations.
 Ensure final product is in accordance with project specifications.

 Completing preventative and maintenance field modifications.
 Provide technical direction for maintenance, engineering, and repair activities for AC/DC: UPSs, Converters and other products.
 Track system reliability and provide proactive maintenance recommendations in order to reduce failure rates.
 Analyze major service interruptions (MSI’s) and produce engineering reports which capture cause failure and contributing factors.
 Initiate, document and follow through of field requests, and suggested improvements to systems, components and procedures.
 Cooperate and support internal and external audits, provide technical support to improvements and upgrades of the system, act as
management representative as needed.

SINTEL / Project Engineer Jan 1994 – Mar 1999

 Determine projects feasibility, ensuring assigned projects as technically feasible and economically justifiable.
 Supervise technicians, and other engineers involved in the projects.
 Review projects plans and proposals, alongside with management team to develop project objectives.
 Calculate time frames and sequences of the stages of assigned projects.
 Liaising with contractors, suppliers and internal company stakeholders.
 In charge of creating frameworks used to develop and monitor project metrics and manage the collection of project data.

MARAVEN, S.A / Intern and Thesis Student Nov 1995 – Jul 1996
 Undergraduate Thesis “Determination of PMR (Private Mobile Radio) traffic and coverange trunked on West Venezuela”. Data was
collected to detect failures due to overloads that affected company operations in order to suggest ways of optimizing these
communications.
