An hinuhunang kagadanan kan saldang
Kun minatunton sa sulnupan yaon sana man
Sa payo, puso asin isip nin tawo talaga an nagtatao
Kaini nin kahulugan. Dawa daing pagkaaram
Sa aga masirang asin masirang an saldang.

We draw the water from the see with the pail we bear
Trying to pour its vastness inside its entirety
Thinking that its saltiness is like a tears.
The depth of sadness like the ocean bed from across the shore.

But why should we bestow feelings on the world?

What we thought as the death of the sun

In the head, the human heart and mind are what really give
It meaning. Even when one doesn’t know it
Tomorrow, the sun will always shine.
We were taught (or made to believe?) the what is inside the can, is the songs.
As if the water which overflowed is no longer water.
When the song is that which is not caught from the spring,
Or that which is spilled, or continues to flow
And not what is rammed into our brains to gurus
Who only ape what is accepted and acclaimed,
Crowned as the best.
The song is more than the this, more than words
Which give from to it, the pail for the water.
This includes even those unuttered, but heard,
Those unheard but unuttered,
Always, more or less, than what I said.
