EROSIONAL SURFACE:

It has been widely accepted by the geomorphologist that so-called erosional surface form important
elements in the landscape of the earth. Such surfaces afford an invaluable means of reconstructing the
erosional history of a region.. (Small, 1970). The erosional surfaces fix into the the landscape each time
of interruption in the normal cycle of erosion. These surfaces, thus, can be recognized through the study
of the landscape. In this context, superimposed and composite profile, longitudinal profile of the main
river, hypsometric curve, area-altitude relationship, clinographic curve may be helpful.
