WOMAN: I don’t know any of these people, Brandon. Do you?
BRANDON: Well, yes, I know a few. Do you see the woman
wearing glasses?
WOMAN: The one standing next to the table?
BRANDON: Yes, that’s Irina. I know her from work.
WOMAN: What about that good-looking man with the dark
mustache. Do you know him?
BRANDON: Yes, I do. That’s Carlos. I’ve known him for a long
time. We went to high school together. Would you like to
meet him?
WOMAN: Yes, I would.

B Listen to Maria talking about her plans for the future. Check
the correct answers.
MARIA: What are my plans for the future? Well, I just finished
school, and I had to borrow a lot of money before I could
graduate. So, first I’m going to get a job so that I can start to
pay all that money back. Also, I’m still living with my
roommate, and I’m tired of doing that. I want to find my
own apartment. It can’t be too expensive, so I’ll probably
have to get something small. But it will be great to have my
own place!
