Reflection: Jose Rizal in Dapitan

At first I am curious why the story entitled Jose Rizal in Dapitan, and I completely understand
after I watch the movie. It makes me feel like something goose bumps. He is a multi talented and skilled
man. He inspires us like he did in Dapitan. The government send him in Dapitan to live like a prisoner but
he still manage to accomplish so many things, He help poor people for free medical checkup and
operate those people who has a chronic pain, Jose Rizal is a Doctor and eye specialist. He taught many
things he learned to Filipino countrymen to become independent, hardworking, and diligent and has
courage to protect our country from those alien people who exploited our treasure.

Jose Rizal was a Great Leader, He is not like a Boss to looked other the people or telling people
to do something instead He is a Leader to put His countrymen first before him, He helped them in their
daily work. He was Intelligent and very humble.

After so many trials and struggles he experience, he still manage to depend and fight for himself
by the people who try to betray and slay him down specially to Friars, the Spain Priest for they are
inviting Jose Rizal to be their companion but he did refuse to accept the offer for some ugly reason. He
still fights for the rights of the Filipino people not to the people who are trying to seize the Philippine
government.

Jose Rizal is not only a Good Doctor and an Eye Specialist. He is also a Nature Lover. He cares not
only Filipino people but also of what we have and what we see right now. He really deserves to be called
a Hero. He served helps, fights and never wanted to see his fellow countrymen being oppressed and
being exploited.

I idolized him for his perspective in life, I am amazed and feel inspired to this man called Jose
Rizal who is a truly great hero to our country not only for what he did but for his though about health,
education, poverty and inequality. I wish and pray that someone like Jose Rizal will born to be a part of
our new generation. Rizal truly was a person for his countrymen, he truly was a patriot and nationalistic
for he never wanted to see his fellow countrymen being oppressed and being exploited.

I wish I could go to Dapitan for a glimpse of how our hero lived in Dapitan while being exiled.
Last June 19, we celebrated Rizal's 143rd birthday. That's two lifetimes for the average Filipino, quite a
long time. But not really so when one thinks about the baluno tree he nurtured and which grows to this
day as our living connection to him and when one thinks about the issues he cared about and which
continue to challenge us today: health, education, poverty and inequality. It would be such an honor to
know more about our hero.
