I. Rationale:

It has been observed that one of the perennial problems faced by Pandacaqui
Resettlement Elementary School is the consistent increase on the number of dropouts
and cases of bullying among pupils. As the GAD Leader of the school, I studied the
various causes that led to this present scenario and it was found that “irresponsible
parenting” was the root cause of these recurring issues.

The school with its 92 teachers and school head believe that conducting an
orientation on responsible parenting will be one of the solutions to solve these very
significant issues.

II. Objective:

The training aims to achieve the objectives in the Annual Gender and Development
Plan and Budget (GADB), i.e.:
a. to deepen parents’ knowledge on Gender and Development specially issues
concerning parenting;
b. to capacitate parents on their roles and responsibilities to their child/children.

III. A. Expected Participants: 1,500 parents of Pandacaqui Resettlement Elementary

School

Snacks = 15000.00 (₱10/person)
Water = 1150.00
Honorarium = 7000.00 (Speaker)
TOTAL = 23,150.00

IV. Program Proper:

The parents are expected to come on time and participate actively during the
course of the orientation.
V. Post Program Activities

The class advisers shall monitor the parents’ involvement in their child/children’s
school activities, specifically during PIPO and school programs.
