D. Narrative
Parent-Teacher’s conference have been the main forum for communication between
teachers
and parents. These are crucial for strong relationships between the two parties who are
chiefly
concerned with a child’s academic and personal development.
Our meeting started exactly at 3:00 pm. I started our meeting by telling them that some of
their children need more guidance in improving their handwriting.
I explained to them the results of their children’s test. I said that their test is just only a
pre- test. After the school year they will have this again and this time they need to improve it.
I also told them about the RASA-BASA, implemented by the Division of Pampanga. I spoke
to them that RASA-BASA reading will be integrated in all learning areas. The goal of this
is to address the issue of non-readers and make every learner a reader. I discussed with them
on how they will teach their children in proper pronouncing the sounds of the alphabets
because
until now, some of their children don’t know how to sound them properly. I also explained that
the reading materials of their children depend on their needs or reading ability.
I asked the parents to give their support and full cooperation for the improvement of their
children.
Parents promised that they will do the best for their children. The meeting ended with
some
words of gratitude and appreciation for the generosity of the parents.
