The Inspector must-
(a) Coordinate visit arrangements with operator for initial evaluation of the FTD or FFS
(b) Review the specifications and approvals of the device used or intended for use, including whether the
device is intended for the FTD Level 4, 5, 6 or FFS Level A, B, C or D to confirm that the device is
representative of the equipment it is simulating

altitude windshear training requirements?
6. Were the Certificate Holder's policies, procedures, instructions and information,
contained in his manual, for the Simulators / Training Devices process followed?
7. Were the Simulators / Training Devices process controls followed?
8. Did the records for the Simulators / Training Devices process comply with the
instructions provided in the Certificate Holder's manual?
9. Were the required checks and measurements for the Simulators / Training Devices
process effective in identifying problems or potential problems and providing
corrective action for them?
10. Did personnel properly handle the associated interfaces by complying with other
written policies, procedures, instructions and information that are related to this
task?

12. Are Cabin Crew using exit mock-ups that duplicate normal and emergency
conditions as applicable, in accordance with the Certificate Holder’s design?
13. Are Cabin Crew using mechanisms required to operate the exits in accordance with
the Certificate Holder’s design?
14. Are Cabin Crew training on an aeroplane-training device that functions and
performs as required for device approval, in accordance with the Certificate
Holder’s design?
15. Are assigned personnel performing daily functional pre-flight checks on training
devices, in accordance with the Certificate Holder’s design?
16. Does the Certificate Holder test the approved door training devices and log the
results on a yearly basis, in accordance with the Certificate Holder’s design?

18. Does the device meet all applicable CAR and policy guidelines for use in
crewmember training, in accordance with the Certificate Holder’s design?

Notes: 1. A “NO” or “N/C” response on the checklist must be accompanied by reason or comments.
2. A “NO” response must be transferred to the NCF report and corrective action where applicable.
3. Precede all comments with the applicable checklist item number.
