Introduction:
Community:
Often when we think of community, we think in geographic terms. Our
community is the city, town or village where we live. When community is
defined through physical location, it has precise boundaries that are readily
understood and accepted by others. Defining communities in terms of
geography, however, is only one way of looking at them. Communities can
also be defined by common cultural heritage, language, and beliefs or
shared interests. These are sometimes called communities of interest. Even
when community does refer to a geographic location, it doesn’t always
include everyone within the area. For example, many Aboriginal
communities are part of a larger non-Aboriginal geography. In larger urban
centers, communities are often defined in terms of particular
neighborhoods.
Development:
The term “development” often carries an assumption of growth and
expansion. During the industrial era, development was strongly connected
to increased speed, volume and size. However, many people are currently
questioning the concept of growth for numerous reasons – a realization that
more isn’t always better, or an increasing respect for reducing outside
dependencies and lowering levels of consumerism. So while the term
“development” may not always mean growth, it always imply change

Hand washing
Most infections, especially colds and gastroenteritis, are caught when we put our
unwashed hands, which have germs on them, to our mouth. Some infections are caught
when other people’s dirty hands touch the food we eat. Hands and wrists should be
washed with clean soap and water, using a brush if your fingernails are dirty. Dry your
hands with something clean, such as paper towels or hot air dryers. You should always
wash your hands:
After using the toilet
Before making or eating food
After handling dogs or other animals
If you have been around someone who is coughing or has a cold.
Bad breath
Good dental hygiene includes regular brushing and flossing. Bad breath can be caused
by diseases of the teeth, gums and mouth, such as infections. Most people have bad
breath first thing in the morning because saliva is not made while you’re asleep. Some
foods that can cause bad breath include garlic and onion. Mouth washes, mouth
sprays and flavoured chewing gum can make your breath smell better for a while, but if
you have a health problem in your mouth, you need to see your dentist.

water is safe. Suggestions include:
Drink only bottled water.
Don’t use tap water to clean your teeth.
When you wash your hands, make sure they are totally dry before you
touch any food.
Don’t wash fruit or vegetables in unsafe water.
If you have no other water source, make sure the water is boiled before you
drink it by holding it at a rolling boil for one minute.
Make sure any dishes, cups or other utensils are totally dry after they are

One important personal hygiene tip is to bathe daily. Scrubbing your body
with soaps or body wash helps removing dead cells from the skin. Regular
bathing helps remove all the germs, dirt and sweat from your body. Even if
you do not wish to wash your hair daily, wear a shower cap and wash your
body every day

hair regularly. Massage oil for dry scalp and wash it with shampoo. Doctors
mostly recommend shampooing twice or thrice a week, depending on your
hair quality. Even if you prefer to keep your hair long, trimming helps you

the most effective way of controlling the garbage disposal crises of the

Need and requirement are two different things. Here moot point is not how
much you can pay for your usage but it’s about how much is left over this
planet for an individual and how much we can consume. Excess use of
anything will only decreases its availability and will go waste. Consider
bigger picture and act accordingly
