Learning activity 1
From the Learning activity 1, I have learned about social function structure and social function
of personal letter. The structure of personal letters is heading, its usually contains date and
address. Greeting, usually contain greeting to the recipient of the letters. Body is the main part
of the letter, contain informations want to share. Complementary close, contain close sentence,
statement of the senders. Receiver/signature, contain the identity of writer of letters.

Learning activity 2
From the learning activity 2 I learn printen and and spoken announcement. They are have
general purpose. In spoken announcement, the introduction of the announcer is usually done at
the begining of the announcement while printed form is usually at the end of the announcement.
Spoken announcement also requires the speaker to pay attention to the pronunciation and
intonation to make the information clear. While the printed announcement is focusing on the
punctuation mark and other requirements of a good writing

Learning Activity 3
From the Learning activity I have learned that analyctical exposition is a text to elaborate the
writer’s idea about phenomenon surounding. The social function is to persuade the reader that
idea is important. It is structured respectively from thesis to introduce the case and writer’s
position, Arguments to support his position, and reiteration to strengthen the thesis. Arguments
are well supported with clear explanations and evidences. But that is hard to me.

Learning Activity 4
In this activity, Hortatory exposition text issimilar to Analytical Exposition texts. which aims
to persuade the readers about what they should do and should not be done, consists of thesis as
the introduction of the topic that will be discussed. Then followed by an writer’s argument
which contains the opinions to make the idea proposed by the writer trusted. And the last is
recommendation which states the writer’s suggestion to do or not doing something regarding
things have been discussed.
