Tourism I

Define tourism

Tourism the act and process of spending time away from home in
pursuit of recreation, relaxation, and pleasure, meeting new people
and trying new things. Discovering others culture and languages,
while making use of the commercial provision of services, also the
practice of touring, the business of attracting, accommodating, and
entertaining tourists, and the business of operating tours. Tourism
may be international, or within the traveller's country or domestic.

Relationship between Tourism and Hospitality Management

Hospitality industry is an industry that offers services to us that go

beyond our basic needs and generally require extra income to
purchase, while Tourism is the act of visiting places for enjoyment
purposes. Tourism happens when tourists, like Bella, travel to
different places with the intention of participating in leisure activities.

And in my own opinion, Tourism and Hospitality management are

always connected. Because when we travel we accommodate hotels,
transportations and leisure activities. And when we travel we
purchase these services, we do so while we are traveling. The
hospitality industry is the supplier of the services for tourism.
