ASSIMILATION
Induction Program for MBA Batch of 2019-2021

Day One

Embarking the beginning new academic session. The Programme started with
Prof. Srinivas Registrar BNU Extending a warm welcome to the fresh batch of
MBA students. Next the students moved on to the registration desk for registering
the course and getting their documents verified.
Day Two

Extending a warm welcome to the Hon.Dr.J.Alexander IAS, former Chief


Secretary and Cabinet Minister, Karnataka State. Alexander sir highlighted that
students should stay focused as well as be open to new ideas and experiences. The
welcome address was followed by Prof.Sara Kunnath HOD MBA, The
enthusiastic group of students were then addressed by Lophy Vellara COO of
Koshys Group of institutions .He welcomed the students to the Koshys Family . He
emphasized that KGI is committed to providing a wonderful teaching and learning
experience. In this journey the students and the faculty members should work
together to achieve the long run goals, he said.

The Director Academics Dr. A.Ravi, KIMS, welcomed the MBA students .The
grooming of future manger starts from day one he said. Getting a job should not be
the sole focus of the students but rather they should look for opportunities to create
new ones,

Post lunch the Director Admissions Pankoj Roy addressed the students and
emphasized to maintain a happiness quotient in life. He also gave various solutions
to the student’s problem and motivated them for successful life.

Post lunch Prof .Sara Kunnath HOD-MBA , took the students through the
Course Plan and Credit requirements for the MBA programmes and spoke about
important issues like students’ attendance, their code of conduct in the classroom
and the assessment structure to be followed during the course. She assured the
students that her door would always be open for them and asked them to come and
discuss any issues that they face during the course, Followed by faculty
Introduction.

Day Three.

Students Assembled in Seminar hall Prof .Sara HoD- MBA, explained Institution
profile and Regulation.

Next the students moved on to know about the placement procedures The
Placement team led by Prof .Vijju Samuel explained their role in placing the
students. Starting from writing their resumes to taking the final interviews,
structured guidance is given to the students all through.
Students were addressed by Dr .A ravi on Key factors for Career Success,
explained the challenges business are facing in the globalization era and strategies
business are adopting to overcome the same. Discussed how student should
approach the Professional life and make their presence in corporate world.

Post Lunch Team MBA Conducted Management Games to the Students. They
were excited and participated in the session. The response received from the
students was extremely encouraging.

Day four

Session started with an Interactive way on the topic Campus to Corporate by


Dr.M.Kethan .Dept. of MBA. With a lot of zeal and enthusiasm, the students
brought forth their team building and interpersonal skills. Most importantly they
felt quite at ease in the new environment.
Students moved on to the Next session Leadership skills for Managers by Lophy
Vellara Coo of KGI, his words were indeed inspirational. It is all about the
mindset they said .They urged the young ‘to be ‘leaders to believe in themselves
and to treat both success and failure as experiences and draw lessons from them.

Guest lecture on Positive Attitude witnessed the cheering participation of all the
students from MBA. All she made the students think in a logical way and how to
develop Positive Attitude. They were excited to get valuable inputs from Dr.Sudar
Kodi. Dept. Of MBA.

Post Lunch bound learning activity was organised for the students of this batch. In
a group which stimulate Team Building and Strategic Skill among students
Day Five

An activity Then began the search for treasure, through Treasure hunt activity, an
out bound learning activity was organised for the students of this batch., they were
taken to a location LAL BAGH, wherein lots of games and activities like Flying
Fox, Burma bridge, Commando Net, Tyre Glider, Monkey Crawl , Rope Climbing ,
Commando Bridge , Tyre Wall, Free Fall , Partner Walk , Balancing Rope were
experienced by the students.
Day Six

A session started on Positive Psychology by Prof Raghavendra R Vice principal-


KIMS, Session Elaborated along with some case discussions and inspirational
video followed by discussion was showcased.

Mind Mapping Session by Ms. Soni Anil, Psychiatric-Nurse counsellor, Bangalore
