 Are there areas within the Oral Language
programme that could be incorporated across the
school?
 Do you use some of these concepts in the
programme in the resource you provide for us in
Te Ao Maori?
 Would this programme lend itself to classes for
parents?

 Have you thought of putting together a resource
about this? It would be of great interest to
preschools & NE/Y0/transition classes.
 Have you considered added fine motor skill
activities to your play based learning?
 Have you considered including a brief bit in a
school newsletter stressing the importance of
developing fine motor skills?…”have you ever
wondered why your child finds it frustrating and
difficult to write letters and numbers…

 Calm down space…more than 5 minutes…do
they meet with you or run their problem/thoughts

 I wonder if the kids will continue on with the

 Great thinking to have it digitally available so
you are able to tweak as you go.
 Like the use of seed/sapling etc. –easy for
students to remember
 I have some examples of student speak rubric
(words alive) if you are interested
 Oral language programme sounds exciting…a
mixture of hands on etc. so they can relate
what they are learning to everyday life.
 Great to hear that you are having on going,
regular PD that you can use in class.
 Makes sense when I think about it.
 Made me think about kids I have taught in
the past who had both fine and gross motor
skill issues. As you said shows the
importance of manipulation…play/ cutting /
making.

schoolwide programme/resources for future

beautifully. Great to hear that kids have taken
