Results-based Enrichment Activities through Contextualized Learning Materials to Hone Learners Potentials

I. RATIONALE
As we face the new normal in continuing education in this pandemic era, we face many challenges while adapting to it. Left without the
opportunity of face-to-face communication with teachers, learner’s quickly felt disconnected from school, their motivation dwindled, and they
appeared unable to initiate any self-direction in learning. Most of them are having a hard time accomplishing the task in SLMs/LAS especially
those written in English subject.
As a response to DepEd Order No. 012, s. 2021, schools are mandated to conduct intervention and remediation activities to address
learning gaps. Thus, LDDSIS religiously hold an intervention/remediation to aid the student at-risk, eradicate non-readers and polish student’s
skills. Thus, providing wide opportunities to the at-risk learners will help maximize their potentials towards learning.
Moreover, teachers and school administrators must work together to develop various programs and innovations that can provide primary
intervention to cope with challenges especially in learning English language, particularly for marginalized learners, by increasing the feasibility
of solutions to cater to the needs of every multicultural learner.
Project REACH is a results-based enrichment activities through contextualized learning materials that will hone learners’ potentials
towards learning.
Therefore, intervention is a big help in ensuring the quality education and the continuing efficiency of our school.
II. OBJECTIVES
1. Provide contextualized learning materials that are suited to the learners’ needs,
2. help learners develop their love for learning, and
3. strengthen and intensify language learning

III. MECHANISM

1. Safety protocols will be strictly followed.


2. Ask for parents’ consent
3. Scheduling of enrichment activities by purok
4. Identify the Zone of Proximal Development of each learner
4. Groupings of learners into five with 1 teacher facilitator in every group
5. Focused on using English as medium of instruction with the help of contextualized learning materials
6. Positive Reinforcement will be given through giving of badges to learners who are able to read a lot of story books.
