Project Proposal format

A. Develop a project proposal following the guidelines and format:

1. Project Title
2. Name of Project Proponent
3. Rationale and Significance (Why are you proposing the project? What is its importance
to development?)
4. Situational Analysis (What is the current situation in the proposed project site? )
4.1 Describe target area (Where is the project area? What are the bio-geo-physical
characteristics of the target area? Attach a location map where possible)
4.2 Describe the project beneficiaries ( Who are the target beneficiaries? What are their
characteristics? Do a stakeholder analysis and discuss)
4.3 Identify the hazards and risks (What are the hazards and risks? Describe its impact
to the target area)
4.4 Issues and problems (What are the problems and development constraints in the
target area? Do a problem analysis using a problem tree and discuss)
5. Project Objectives and Outputs (Given the problems and needs in the area, what are the
objectives of the proposed project and what are the expected outputs?)
6. Project Components (Given the objectives, what specific interventions do you propose
to be implemented in the target area? Describe how will the project be implemented
Describe and discuss each project component )
7. Implementation Plan ( Present in a Gantt chart)
8. Project Budget (Breakdown the project in terms of PS and MOOE)

B. The project should be in response of your analysis of the context of a community you have
chosen to assist.

C. This is a group project but it is essential that everybody participates. Therefore,


narratives to further articulate items in the project format should have authors.
