B. Location

 The project is located at Zone-4 Brgy. Hobo Minalabac Camarines Sur with an area of 2
hectares. It is a spacious area surrounded by trees which is suitable for raising chickens.
It is far from neighboring houses to avoid disturbance and has an easy access of
transportation, electricity and water.

C. Descriptive Definition of the project

Layer farming is a vital source for providing high quality animal protein (eggs) which is
daily requirement of the human body. Animal protein is more valuable than that of plant protein.

Layer poultry farming means raising egg laying poultry birds for the purpose of
commercial egg production. Layer chickens are such a special species of hens, which need to be
raised from when they are one day old. They start laying eggs commercially from 18-19 weeks
of age. They remain laying eggs continuously till their 72-78 weeks of age.

The business will produce eggs that are fresh and well-cleaned.

Our layer poultry farm is commercial poultry farm hence will be involved in marketing of eggs.

Alpha’s Farm Fresh Egg is committed to raising chicken and producing eggs to make
profits and we are going to do all we can to achieve our business goals, aim and objectives.

D. Project Objectives

The objective of the proposed project is to promote convenient distribution of fresh egg for consumers’
consumption, retailers and other food business establishments to satisfactorily avail their needs.

Indicatively, the project wants to attain the following:

 To provide good and high quality eggs.

 To increase profit by 5% annually
 To be the leading supplier of fresh eggs in Camarines Sur and other neighboring towns.

Today, poultry raising is a big business. So to make sure it is profitable, each step should

be done by someone who knows what they are doing. So we should choose the best chicken and
breed we have. Because best would mean one that lays more eggs more often. We hired

veterinarians or scientists to help choose the characteristics I want for my chickens.

There are a lot of factors that make poultry farming business a profitable one

Food is one of the basic needs of man. Regardless of the economic situation, human beings must

feed and since domestic birds are consumable; that makes poultry farming feasible.

Our country for instance has an over population; bear it in mind that a huge population means a

huge demand for food (egg).

Poultry farming is going to cost you a lot of money. There are lots of initial investments
that you need to make such as land, building the poultry house, buying the poultry equipment
and sourcing your first flock. Then there are the ongoing costs such as the cost of feeding,
vaccination, medicine, labor etc. In order for you to make sure that your poultry farming venture
is both efficient and profitable, there are a host of factors that you will need to manage
adequately.

Alpha’s Farm Fresh Egg Business grows layer chicken and produce fresh eggs, Layer
chicken is specialized breed of chicken intended to grow and produce eggs approximately 18
weeks, the best breed of chicken to rise for egg production. Fresh egg will only be sold in whole
sale or per tray.

The business will focus on selling good and high quality fresh egg with its superior taste
and texture. The major consumers of the product will be restaurants, market, and various
institutions with food catering services and high income households.
