( Dist) in phased manner viz., Phase-I, Phase-II and Phase-III for providing irrigation facilities
to the upland drought prone areas of Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Karimnagar, Warangal (Urban),
Warangal (Rural), Jangaon, Yadadri, Suryapet & Siddipet of Telangana Region to an extent of
6.21 Lakh Acres including Drinking water facilities. Subsequently, the Government of
Telangana have enhanced the present allocation of 38.16 TMC to 60TMC of water vide
G.O.Rt.No.25, Dt: 21.01.2015.
The work of Operation and maintenance of Phase-I of JCR-DLI Scheme to Lift 10 Cumecs
of water from river Godavari near Gangaram (V), Eturnagaram (M) Warangal District with existing
Pipeline from Intake to R.S.Ghanpur via Bheemghanpur, Pulkurthy and Dharmasagar in four
stages for period from July-2017 to June 2019 (24 months was awarded under Non-EPC system to
M/s. Power Solution, Hyderabad for an amount of Rs. 7,72,30,862/- at (-) 1.18 less than ECV of
Rs. 7,81,53,068/-.

On 31.05.2018 while site verification it was observed that the following one nos. stem
pipes of air valves are damaged and leakages are detected at below locations in Zone 5.
1) Zone 5 -- Stem pipe of air valve failure at Chainage 10.756 Km Jaigiri Tank ( Photo graph
for damaged stem pipe attached ). Frequently,the stem pipe 6mm thickness and 200 mm dia
pipe are being damaged in pumping season. Hence it is necessitated to increase the thickness
from 6mm to 10 mm , 200 mm dia pipe with external lining of tarcoal and internal with epoxy
coating .
In this regard the existing O & M contractor of JCR DLIS, Phase – I Operation &Maintenance
is hereby instructed to take up the rectification work immediately.

The O&M agency has started the work as per instruction and completed the rectification of 1no.
stem pipe of air valve on 27.06.2018 at the chainage 10.756 Km near Jigiri Tank in Zone 5 by
replacing 6mm thick pipe with 10 mm thick 200mm dia pipe with external lining of tarcoal and
