7 ­ IPO DAM
Purpose - irrigation and flood control
Drainage - Pampanga River Delta. It captures
water from Angat and Ipo rivers to the La Mesa
Dam Reservoir. 8

8 ­ LA MESA DAM
It is part of the Angat-Ipo-La Mesa water system 11
providing water to La Mesa and Balara water
treatment plant, supplying most of the potable
waterof Metro Manila. LEGEND
9 ­ WAWA DAM
Built in the early 1 900s designed to supply water 1 Dam
for Manila. It was abandoned since the 1 950s. Watershed Boundary
10 ­ CALIRAYA and LUMOT DAM Rivers
Year of operation - Caliraya dam - 1 945, 10
Lumot Dam - 1 951 Flooded Areas (2000 - 2004)
Purpose - power generation
Installed capacity - 32 MW Flooded Areas due to Typhoon Ondoy
Reservoir capacity - 1 30 MCM
Drainage - Laguna Lake Lake
