VERACRYPT INSTALLATION AND

USER MANUAL v1.0

A. Installation of VeraCrypt

1. Locate the VeraCrypt Setupexecutable file andthen double-click to initiate the

installation.

2. The license terms will be displayed. Mark the checkbox to accept the license
terms and click on theNext button.

3. On the Wizard Mode screen, select the Installoption and click on the Next
button.

4. The Setup Options will be displayed. By default, the path where to install the
application is already created and the options are checked. Just click on the
Install button to start off with the installation.

5. A window with the message that the application has been successfully installed
will be displayed. Click on the OK button.

6. Click on the Finish button to close the installation window.

B. Decryption of storage device

1. Insert the encrypted storage device into the CD/DVD drive.

2. Locate the installed VeraCrypt and then double-click to run the

application program.

3. The VeraCrypt window will be displayed. Click the Select file button.

4. Select the drive where the storage device will be mounted and then select the
file previously created during the encryption of the CD/DVD device (e.g sample).
Click on the Open button.

5. Select the drive where the storage device will be mounted and then click on the
Mount button.

6. Input the password to be used in accessing the storage device which will be
decrypted and then click on the OK button.

The process window will be displayed and will automatically close once the
operation is completed.

7. To verify that the storage device has been successfully decrypted, a new local
device will appear below the encrypted storage device. The drive name must
correspond to the one selected during the mounting process and this new local
device must be accessible, showing contents of the encrypted storage device.

8. Once the copying of files is done, click on the Dismount button for properly dismounting
of the device.
