Boiling Point

Materials:

 Glass
 Spoon
 1/2 table spoon of salt
 1 Glass of water
 Rice cooker

Procedure:
1. Prepare the materials you’re going to use (Water, salt, glass, spoon ,rice cooker, etc.)

2. Prepare the rice cooker you’re going to do use in order to boil the water (with and without

solute)

3. Put your solvent (pure water) into a rice cooker and observe its boiling point.

3. Mix ½ table spoon of salt into 1cup of water, then stir it. Place the solution into a rice cooker

and observe its boiling point.

Observation:
In this activity, I observed that it took different number of minutes for the two solutions

to boil. It took 6 minutes for the pure water to boil and 8 minutes for the water with salt to boil

when placed inside the rice cooker. It can therefore be concluded that the water with salt takes

extra time in order for it to boil as compared to pure water.
