OBJECTIVES (Civic Literacy)
By the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to
Knowledge: state at least 3 of their strengths and
weaknesses.
Socioemotional: show gratefulness by using positive words CCE (CURRICULUM / HOTS / VALUES)
to overcome their weaknesses.
Action: show their ways to overcome their issues on the
‘Learning Pit’.
Pre-lesson: Pupils are asked about how they feel today
and how to feel about themselves today.
Lesson delivery:
1. In their exercise books, pupils are asked to write down
3
things that they are good at and 3 things that they are
bad at. Teacher shows example by sharing.
2. Pupils are explained about ‘The Learning Pit’. Teacher
shows a sample of ‘The Learning Pit’ and shares what
he/she feels when they can’t do something, what he/she
says to self and how he/she rise from the issue.
3. Pupils draw their own pit and start describing their
‘Learning Pits’.
Post-lesson: Pupils share their ‘Learning Pits’
