improvement of the definitive budget of work

Suggestions on the sequence of Learning

competencies must be in the following order:
A. Scientific investigations
B. Recognize that substances are classified into
elements and compound
C. Investigate properties of acidic and basic
mixtures using natural indicators
D. Describe some properties of metals and
nonmetals
E. Distinguish mixtures from substances based on
a set of properties
F. Investigate properties if unsaturated or
saturated
G. Express concentrations of solutions
quantitatively.

Decongesting the topics and competencies that need to be

covered in a given time to ensure coverage and mastery of the
skill needed

Time allotment for science should be returned to 1 hour and 20

minutes, with 3 to 4 teaching loads for a science teacher.

More worksheets or SIM should be written in each sub-task

Fusing/compressing number of days taught

especially if it is too short
Comments /Suggestions/Recommendation for the
improvement of the definitive budget of work

Discuss first energy before power.

Remove competency 9.2 since computation or
problem solving is already included in
competencies 8.3 and 8.6 under potential and
kinetic energy.

Decongesting the topics and competencies that need to be

covered in a given time to ensure coverage and mastery of the
skill needed

Time allotment for science should be returned to 1 hour and 20

minutes, with 3 to 4 teaching loads for a science teacher.

Some topics need pre-requisite lessons that

are not included in the sub-tasked.

There are topics that were given only one day

to discuss but needs another day to tackle.

Susupension of classes and school activities shortened the time

to meet the competencies based from the budget of work
No more time to perform performance task.
Comments /Suggestions/Recommendation for the
improvement of the definitive budget of work

The learning competency 1.7 Explain how blood

is pumped by the heart S9LT-Ia-b-26.1.7
should be taken up first before 1.6 Explain the
different types of circulation S9LT-Ia-b-26.1.6
2.3 Infer how one’s lifestyle can affect the functioning
of respiratory and circulatory systems S9LT-Ic -27.2.3
could be used as Elaborate to the topic 2.2 Infer
how to detect and prevent diseases in the circulatory
system and respiratory system.S9LT-Ic -27.2.2
2.4 Conduct an information dissemination activity
on effective ways of taking care of the respiratory and
circulatory systems S9LT-Ic -27.2.4 could be assigned
in the form of Big Book or the like.
4.3 Conduct investigations that will show that
plants are capable of making food S9LT-lg-j-31.4.3.
4.10 Design and conduct investigation that
plants can manufacture their own food
S9LT-lg-j-31.4.10. It shows repetition of task
(conduct investigation of making food ).
It is suggested that they be fused.

Decongesting the topics and competencies that need to be

covered in a given time to ensure coverage and mastery of the
skill needed

Teacher compressed the topics to accomplish

the competencies for the quarter.

need more time especially on module 4

There are some repetitions on competencies

like in competency 4.3 with that of competency
4.10 in which both are pertaining to the ability
of plants in manufacturing food.

Some teachers add days in teaching the topics

for enrichment activities and for further mastery

Location of gene should be followed by DNA material.

Incomplete Dominance and codominance should
be taught in separate days.
Merge the topic in environmental issues.
Multi media presentation can be done

Comments /Suggestions/Recommendation for the

improvement of the definitive budget of work

Decongesting the topics and competencies that need to be

covered in a given time to ensure coverage and mastery of the
skill needed

The topics in Plate Tectonics and Earth’s

Interior were very short to be taken for 41 days.
S10ES – Ia-j-36.1.5 and S10ES – Ia-j-36.1.10 in 1 day

*S10ES –Iaj-36.3.1 and S10ES –Iaj-36.3.12 can be

attained for 1 day, could be a "wrap up" since
each process is identified and explained in
specific plates movement.
