Methodology
Introductory Activity The class will have a review of the past lessons through oral recitation.
(5 minutes)
Activity The students will be directed to sketch or draw based on the instructions given by the
(5 minutes) teacher. After which, the teacher will check whether the instructions given were followed as
ordered.
Analysis 1. Why do you think there is miscommunication?
(15 minutes) 2. What factors contribute to miscommunication?
3. What are effective ways in communicating?
Abstraction Miscommunication or communication breakdown refers to total cessation of interaction. To
(15 minutes) avoid miscommunication, dimensions of communication should be made aware. The
dimensions of communication include verbal/ nonverbal, oral/ written, formal/ informal and
intentional / unintentional. With this, there are 7C’s to effective communication.

Application Oral questioning will be administered to the class.

1. What common miscommunication do you usually have at home? How do you resolve it?
2. Why do you think it is important to understand the flow of communication and its
dimensions?
Assessment Directions: Recall a misunderstanding, a quarrel or a fight between you and another person
(5 minutes) Analyze why it happened and what caused it by looking at the Dimensions of Communication
that was not properly understood. Recall how the problem was resolved. Answer in ½ sheet
of paper.
Assignment Study how culture, gender, age, social status, and religion affect communication.
(3 minutes)
Concluding Activity The teacher will have a recap and recall of the lesson of the day.
