INTRODUCTION:
-Teenage pregnancy is the most common issue/problem in our
society. Teenage pregnancy also known as adolescent pregnancy, is
pregnancy a female under the age of 20.

• - Pregnancy can occur with sexual intercourse after the Starr of

ovulation which can be before the first menstrual period but
usually occurs after the onset period the cause of teenage
pregnancy vary greatly .Teenage pregnancy may be linked to
things such as lack of education and information, peer pressure
and early engagement of sexual activity.
• Teenage pregnancy is significant medical and social problem in
many parts of the world. Complication of the child birth and
unsafe abortion are among the main causes of death for women
under 20.
• Early teenage pregnancy can cause severe health problems for
both the mother and child.
• Teenage pregnancy is an important issue for several reason. For
example, there health risks for the baby and children born to
teenage mothers are more likely to suffer health, social and
emotional problems than children born to older mothers.
• Also women, who become pregnant during their teens are at
increased risk for medical complication, such as premature
labor and social consequences.
• Here are some files that proves that we conducted a survey
regarding teenage pregnancy from the whole Tuburan YR. 2016-
present. We choose Brgy. Cogon because we have a friend that
also experienced from this situation.
Counter Argument
• Bases on our research we found out that whole Tuburan got
numbers of percentage regarding teenage pregnancy that’s why
we choose among the Barangays and that Barangay is Brgy.
Cogon because the survey state that this Brgy. got also the
highest percentage of teenage pregnancy. And the reason why
teenager got pregnant in their young age because of curiosity in
engaging sex, family related problems, lack of information or
knowledge, financial problems that they cannot afford their
children to go to school and especially lack of guidance of their
parents.

Your Argument
That should not be done by teenager the reason why is because we
believe that teenager aren't ready to be parents they usually do not
have the maturity, the mental capacity, the patience, or the financial
standing to care for a baby. That's why it's hard that you're not
educated because you cannot find a stable job and nice career for
the needs and wants of your baby and also by not giving them a
comfortable life. And we observed that their way of living is difficult
because they don't have a stable job and have low income that
provide their needs and wants.

According to The Constitution. Article II. Section 13 provides that:

The State recognizes the vital role of the youth in nation- building and
shall promote and protect their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and
social wellbeing. It shall include in the youth patriotism and nationalism
and encourage their involvement in public and civic affairs.
Here are some consequences of being pregnant at a young age:
- Illiteracy
Teenagers getting pregnant at an early age cannot pursue their higher
education due to extra responsibility, which increases the rate of
literacy in society.
The education of the teen mother remains on hold during pregnancy,
and some teens even decide to drop out of their high school and find
a job to supplement themselves.
- Loss of Government Revenue
In most developing nations, governments plan welfare schemes to
take adequate care of teen mothers and their dependent children. As
the low-qualified mother cannot get a good job, she completely
depends on such welfare schemes to overcome financial distress.
- Social Obligations
A teen mother has to face several social obligations like not getting a
good job, not getting respect from friends and family members.
- Increased Risk of Destitution
As teenage pregnancy hinders the mom from pursuing higher
education and acquiring basic qualifications, she lands up in a poorly paid
job.
- Emotional Crisis
After getting pregnancy at an early age, the teen mother may suffer
from huge emotional crisis due to lack of social support from family.
- Substance Abuse
Substances are a good way to adjust reality and soften the blow.
Society can be cruel and it often drives teen moms over the edge. It is not
surprising that such women turn to substances to quell the ongoing
negativity.

- Bad Reputation in Society

Society usually considers teenage pregnancy a social dilemma and
young parents have to face huge humiliation and negative remarks from
people.
- Higher Suicide Rates
Teenage moms are more prone to committing suicides as the
humiliations and embarrassment and the lack of social support can trigger
depression.

CONCLUSION
• This proposal about teenage pregnancy is to educate not only
those in Brgy. Cogon but also into other community to have
awareness that teenage pregnancy is risky that you must be
brave to handle this kind of situation because it’s hard when
you are engaging without knowing the possibilities and
consequences that you’ve facing off. And for our perspective and
goal is that they must prioritize their studies first, for them to
have a stable job, nice career, and comfortable life in the future.
