Activity 1.4
LABORATORY APPARATUS

One cannot perform any Chemistry experiments without the aid of


the different laboratory apparatus. Laboratory apparatus are indispensable tools
that are needed to carry out various laboratory operations. They are to be used
and manipulations properly and be cleaned after the experiment is performed.

I. OBJECTIVES:
i. To be familiarized with some common laboratory apparatus.
ii. To present to the class a more creative and more appealing introduction
of the laboratory apparatus.
iii. To use the different laboratory with ease and confidence every time one
performs

II. MATERIALS
Laboratory apparatus such as;

Beaker separatory funnel platform balance


graduated cylinder condenser triple beam balance
measuring pipette thistle tube liquid dropper
acid burette iron stand funnel
watch glass iron clamp tripod
evaporating dish iron ring wire gauze
filter flask test tube washing bottle
distilling flask test tube brush test tube rack
retort test tube holder volumetric flask
top-loading electronic balance Florence flask

III. PROCEDURE
1. Each group will be given six (6) laboratory apparatus
2. The group will think of the best and most creative way to present
those assigned laboratory apparatus.
3. After the presentation, all the assigned laboratory apparatus shall be
drawn on the spaces provided for them.

IV. DRAWINGS
Label the apparatus drawn and write their descriptions and their uses in
laboratory work.
