How Do I find my Scopus Author ID?

When you have a paper indexed in Scopus, you will be automatically assigned a Scopus Author ID.

Scopus author ID can be used for the following purposes:

• differentiates authors with common names

• collects an author's various names and adds these names under one author identifier

• uses as your research profile as it lists your publications available in Scopus

• analyses citations of your articles and h-index

Please use the Author Search to find your Scopus Author ID on Scopus website (www.scopus.com)

A) Look for Author ID

1. On Scopus click the ‘Search’ tab.


2. Click ‘Authors’.

3. You can enter the author’s last name, initials, first name, affiliation, and / or ORCID.
4. Click the magnifying glass to search.

5. After completing these steps, your author search results opens.

6. Click on an author’s name to open the Author details page

7. Author details cover the research areas of interest, the author's publishing and citation
information, name variants, the author's unique Scopus identifier number, ORCID (if available),
and other pertinent information regarding an author's publication history.

You can check your Author ID (Scopus Author Identifier) under your affiliation.

How Do I Merge My Profiles & Add/Remove Document ?
If you notice that you have more than one profiles on Scopus, use this option to request that
Scopus merges a selected number of authors from a results list into a single profile.

*Please log in or register to perform this.

1. From the Author details page, click ‘View potential author matches’. The Author feedback
wizard opens.

2. Click the checkboxes next to the authors’ names you would like to merge into a single author
profile.
3. Click ‘Request to merge with authors’

4. Click ‘Proceed to make changes’.

5. Next, you may need to


 Select your name preference
 Review documents and see if the publications belong to you
 Select affiliation

6. An email will be sent out shortly to you once Scopus received your request.
