About us:
Abdallah I. Al Tamimi Industrial Services Co. (AITIS) was established in 2006, with the mission to
provide services in the field of Non-Destructive Testing, Inspection, advanced NDT, condition assessment
and remaining life assessment. AITIS is specialized in inspection and remaining life assessment of boilers,
heat exchangers, plant piping, tanks and pipelines. The Co. is ISO 9001:2008 certified and corporate
partner of American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT). AITIS provides the services in Saudi
Arabia and Gulf Countries.

Eddy Current Testing

AITIS uses advanced eddy currents equipments and techniques for, Crack detection, Material thickness
measurements, Coating thickness measurements, Conductivity measurements for Material identification,
Heat damage detection, Case depth determination, Heat treatment monitoring.

Remote Field Eddy Current Testing – RFET

AITIS uses advanced RFET/NFT equipments and techniques for Carbon steel, Crack detection, Material
thickness measurements, Coating thickness measurements, Conductivity measurements for Material
identification, Heat damage detection, Case depth determination, Heat treatment monitoring.

Guided Wave or Long Range Ultrasonic Testing: LRUT

LRUT is traditionally used to detect corrosion, erosion and other defects in pipe work. An array of
transducers is clamped around the pipe and ultrasound is transmitted simultaneously along the pipe in both
directions. The return signal is received by the same transducers, and the data are analyzed using the
system’s calibrated software.

Internal Rotary Inspection System – IRIS

IRIS is an ultrasonic based system for inspecting ferrous and nonferrous tubes from the inside. It is applied
on almost any material. With the IRIS, accurate thickness measurements can be taken at any location along
the tube, so small changes in thickness are measurable and the exact location of pitting and corrosion can
be determined.

Vibration Analysis
Advanced vibration analyzer can quickly and accurately identify developing faults in rotating machinery,
allows maintenance personal to monitor more machines in less time, and focus their efforts on developing
faults instead of chasing the next breakdown.

Low Frequency Electromagnetic Testing (LFET) – Tank Floor Inspection

Low Frequency Electromagnetic Technique (LFET) is used to inspect storage tanks, other convex or
concave ferrous surfaces, as well as nonferrous metal tubing/piping surfaces. It is used for detecting wall
thickness changes in carbon steel storage tank floor plates.
Low Frequency Electromagnetic Technique (LFET) products does not use permanent magnets, so are
lightweight (under 30 lbs) and are is easy to handle and transport
LFET-based tests require minimal floor preparation; it tests through coatings and determines top surface
flaws from bottom surface flaws.

Balanced Field Eddy Current Testing (Weld Inspection)

Balance Field Electromagnetic Technique (BFET) to detect surface and sub-surface cracking in welds and
base metal. With maximum scanning speeds of one foot per second, this technique is much faster than
conventional NDT techniques such as dye penetration and magnetic particle testing.

This can virtually be used anywhere that cracking is an issue, including the scanning of both ferrous and
nonferrous metals. It can be used on pressure vessels, general vessels, windmill towers, storage tank floors
and shells, and bridges. It has many weld applications, including tube-to-header weld and dissimilar metal
weld inspections. It also works on a variety of different types of welds, including butt-welds, lap-welds,
and T-welds. For butt welds, no couplant is needed, it offers four inches (101mm) of coverage per pass
and inspects both sides of the weld with one pass.

Low Frequency Electromagnetic Testing (LFET) – Boiler Tube Inspection

Waterwalls, Super Heaters and Reheaters: To inspect waterwalls, super heaters and reheaters, we use
the TS-2000 Tube Scanning system based on the Low Frequency Electromagnetic Technique (LFET).
From the OD, LFET technology scans approximately 120 degrees of the tube circumference with a single
pass of the scanner. Any flaw indications (or areas that we cannot scan due to tube bends, welds, viewports,
etc.) are proved-up using A-Scan ultrasonics.
