SD FATIH BILINGUAL SCHOOL

Academic Year 2018–2019

DATE : 2 October 2018

SUBJECT : Science
CLASS : Grade Five
Unit name/ no Unit 3 /3.1
Topic Evaporation
Duration 3 X 35 minutes

BASIC OF Know that evaporation happens when a liquid turns into gas,
COMPETENCE factors need be taken in evaporation and present in many
ways.

Objective Pupils are able to know :

1. Evaporation happens when a liquid turns into a gas.
2. When particles of water gain heat energy.
3. Heat makes evaporation take place faster.
Teaching methods 1. Demonstration 3. Oral
and techniques 2. Questioning 4. Discussion
Teaching Cambridge Primary Science Jon Board, Fiona Baxter, and Liz
materials,sources Dilley.
A. Opening
Teaching - Studying - T greets Ss by having small talk and praying before lesson
Activities started
- Asking the student what they know about how evaporation
happens.
B. Main activity
- Student should mentions some examples of eaporation
process, and ask them to do Activity 3.1a
- Ask the learner to join an observation about seeing how a
puddle get dry, and ask them to think what are the factor
cause it in certain time.
- Strengthen that althought there's no water anymore, it's still
exist. It changes into gas.
- Ask a question about in which condition the washes get
dried best and what factor cause it. Ask them to do an
experiment and complete the Activity 3.1b.
- The learner asked to do a fair test about which liquid
evaporates the fastest. Ask them to think and discuss some
matter. What factors will they keep the measure? Which
factor will they keep the same? Which factor will they
change ? They need to do this many time in tow or three
days to answer the questions in 3.1b and worksheet 3.1 and
ensure it is fair test.
C. Closing
- T Summarize the materials by asking ss to retell about the
topic
Subject Summaries Review :
1. Evaporation happens when a liquid turns into a gas.
2. When particles of water gain heat energy, they move faster
and further apart and break free from the liquid’s surface.
3. Heat makes evaporation take place faster.
Special Notes for 1. Water vappour
Explanations 2. Energy
3. Evaporation

Homework, Science worksheet, activity’s book page, skill builders and
