Online Focus Group Discussion Students’ Perception Towards Premarital Sex

Project Description:
Good day! We are student-researchers of SOC 130 Section U conducting a study on students'
perception towards premarital sex. The study will be conducted through an online focus group
discussion among selected participants whose identities shall be kept anonymous. This study
will take approximately 30 minutes.

Project Procedure:

To ensure anonymity, the focus group discussion will be conducted through an online call using
the Discord application. For research purposes, the discussion will be recorded.As a participant,
you have the right to withdraw from the discussion anytime you want or decide not to answer
any question.

Confidentiality:

Rest assured that all information divulged during the online focus group discussion will be used
for academic purposes that are limited to academic papers and exchange within the confines of
the classroom to further the pool of sociological knowledge. We shall not ask for your identity to
be disclosed during the discussion to ensure your anonymity. All reports, recordings, and
recording transcripts from this discussion will be kept anonymous, without any reference to your
identity.

conducted by student-researchers of SOC 130 (Social Psychology) Section U.

I certify that I have been told of the confidentiality of information collected for this discussion and
the anonymity of my participation; that I have been given satisfactory answers to my inquiries
concerning project procedures and other matters; and that I have been advised that I am free to
withdraw my consent and to discontinue participation in the project or activity at any time without
prejudice.

I agree to participate in the discussion with the fact that the questions will be recorded
electronically. I understand that such interviews and related materials will be kept completely
anonymous during the conduct of the group discussion, and that the results of this research will
be used for academic purposes only.

I agree that any information obtained from this research may be used in any way thought best
for this study.
