There was a time when the world was a dark place. Hatred! Chaos! Apathy! Indifference! A place where those who are
voiceless are manipulated by those who go beyond the border in using their power. But then, out of nowhere, a humble
protagonist rises to the occasion, like a knight in shining armor coming to the rescue in order to give peace, order, and
justice to all.
Movies usually portray heroes as individuals with superhuman feats, those who are able to accomplish what
others cannot. The courage to face the most difficult challenges contributing to a much greater cause - the strength to carry
on his shoulders, the welfare of the people depending on him. Most especially, a hero, as George Kennan stated, has the
ability to endure one moment more. One more good deed. One more sacrifice. One more heroic act. But in the end,
despite of all the spectacular powers, no hero is perfect, as each and every one is limited by his own weaknesses.

The path to heroism is a journey worth taking. A path presented to all of us as an opportunity to prove ourselves
to the world, to make a statement. Despite of the marvellous destination at the end of the road, it is an expedition that
people has been reluctant to take, for it requires heroes who can change the world, save lives and take on various
impossible tasks. It is a road open to all, and only the bravest knights traverse. And among the courageous men of valor,
only the purest of heart are chosen.
Heroism in our time doesn’t differ too much from the superheroes we see in movies. The truth is, anyone can be a
hero, and many of us are already on a hero’s journey. We all have the potential to be the greatest superhero the world has
ever seen and the power to accept the responsibilities handed to us is the greatest power that we can be proud of. The
greatest superheroes are those who do not need magic or gadgets to help others or to change the world.
Your typical superhero story is also your typical everyday story.
We all have the power to heal. Today, we are facing many issues in our community such as the recent hazing,
unfair pay to our farmers and the fight for gender equality. In our current situation, we can unfortunately say that our
community and our relationship with our neighbours is wounded. We have never been this base and as divided before. We
have the capacity to heal the wounded fabric of trust and camaraderie and to weave a stronger cape of unity and patriotism
towards our common goal of prosperity.
We all have the power to be invincible. Every day, we start our journey and face several challenges and
adversaries that are made to destroy us. The fact that we are still smiling and enjoying our life at this moment is enough to
qualify us as superheroes. The power of optimism fuels our soul into becoming a stronger version of ourselves. We
transform into an upgraded version of ourselves, stronger, more resilient and heroic as ever. One of the powers we must
utilize is the ability to endure everything being thrown at us. By doing this, we not only make ourselves stronger, but we
also set an example for others.
We all have the power to transform. Transformation is the means through which heroes are made. As heroes of
today, we can use the ability to transform our depressed community and our poor country into a rich and prosperous
paradise. We can also use our power to transform ourselves into the best version that we can be, a human. Humans who
above all the powers possess the greatest power of all, the power to love, to feel and to commit mistakes and learn from
them. You see, heroism comes in different forms. A hero does not think for himself only but for the greater good of the
whole community. True heroism is sober, it is not the urge to surpass others, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.
Heroism comes to those who have sincerely opened up their hearts to allow growth.
Now we can present we pride our very own Malolos City Private Schools Association. MACIPRISA trasnforms
us into heroes our society needs. It reaches out to all of us with a burning determination to heed the call of heroism. Let us
then open our hearts for it is not a callng heard by ears but a calling felt by the heart.
Like a mother that nurtures her young, MACIPRISA fuels and inspires young men and women of character to
become the best version of ourselves. MACIPRISA has become a vehicle of innovation that helps bring out our
competitiveness, the fighting spirit that gives nothing less than the best. We get to know our strengths and weaknesses and
use those as a stepping stone for self-improvement. MACIPRISA more than anything, presents an opportunity for students
like us to prove that we, the youth, can heed the call of heroism and social responsibility.
Our society, our community, our country is calling for more heroes. See friends, that this is the golden
opportunity presenting itself to us. Let us grab this opportunity with the burning passion deeply committed in our past.
Inspired by the thoughts of our heroes, we shall prevail over our adversaries as heroes of today. Icons of courage and
heroism.
In our story, as of this very moment, the call of heroism is reaching to us. It is not heard by the ears but felt by the
heart.
