THE EMPERORS CLUB SUMMARY

Mr. Hundert is a teacher in the Benedict Academy for boys, a school that you have
to pay a very expensive money, when class is starting they introduce themselves to Mr.
Hundert then Mr. hundert request Martin Blythe to read who is Nahhunte . Days past
Sedgewick came, he was disgusted to the boys because they’re wearing like a gown.
Then the next day Sedgewick is not listening to M. Hundert. And then the four boys was
boating in the river, they wanted to go to the school for girls, Sedgewwick invited the
four girls to make a fantasy, but before that happen there’s a nun who stop them. The
four boys was had a sermon from Mr. Hundert. In the next day Mr. Hundert goes to the
senator the father of Sedgewick which is Mr. Bell, he gave a gun to Mr. Hundert as a gift
but suddenly he told Mr. Hundert that “You’re not going to mold my son, I’ll be the one
to mold my son” then accused Mr. Hundert that he is a Pussy.

When weeks past Mr. Hundert he saw a potential to Sedgewick, which is Sedgewick
try to have a not-so-perfect essay, ‘cause he want to win the battle. Then sedgewick is
one of the top 3, instead of Martin Blythe he gave a chance to Sedgewick. Than the
battle start only Deepak and Sedgewick was in the battle but Mr. Hundert had a doubt to
sedgewich which is he’s cheating, he change the question that sedgewick can’t answer
it. After the battle Mr. Hundert he saw Martin Blythe was down, then Sedgewick he
confessed to Mr. Hundert that he was cheating. After the battle Sedgewick continue to
be a bad boy in class, outside the class anywhere. Days past, weeks past, months past,
Mr. Hundert handed a diploma to Sedgewick and he was disappoint of what happen.
Years past the principal was dead and he thought that he’ll be the one who replace the
position but it was his best friend, instead of continue to teach he resigned to be a
teacher.

When Mr. Hundert is now resigned, he’s just writing a books, but while writing he
always remembered about his life, how to teach, in short he miss teaching. While writing
his best friend called that he wanted to meet Mr. Hundert in school, they talk about
Sedgewick Bell, that he wanted a rematch if he wins the battle he’ll give a money to
expand the library of the school, so that he agree. When the battle begin also Deepak
and Sedgewick was in the battle now but before Mr. Hundert gave the questions he
knew that Sedgewick was cheating again but he manage to change again the questions
that’s why Deepak is win. After the battle Mr. Hundert is in the comfort room, and
Sedgewick came and then he confess again that he was cheating, and a boy is out of
the cubicle the son of Sedgewick, the child filled with emotion that his father was a
cheater, in the next morning Mr. Hundert confessed to Martin Blythe that he is the one
in the top 3, but Martin doesn’t care about it. And now Mr. Hundert was back in
teaching, and he never expect that the son of Martin is his student. Mr. Hundert feel any
emotion after all what happen Martin manage that he wants to be a teacher to his son.

Sedgewick Bell- Spoil brat, son of Senator, the judge mental

Mr. Hundert- a teacher, had a patient to students

Martin Blythe- a smart boy, and his father was an ‘noble Honor’

Deepak Mehta- an Indian, also a smart, the win in the battle

Louis Masoudi- Friend of Deepak and Martin

Mr. Bell- father of Sedgewick, also a bad guy

“THE ENDS DEPENDS UPON THE BEGINNING”

-Yes, beginning is the continuation to have a ending. If there’s no beginning what will
happen now? So that beginning depends on the beginning, and beginning is the starting
line and the finish line was the End of the beginning.

“HIS HISTORY IS OUR HISTORY, AND HISTORY REPEAT ITSELF”

-Yes, their history is our history because it will continue in present day. Because history
is always teaching us to make a right and wrong things it may we apply it to our present
day.

“GREAT AMBITION AND CONQUEST WITH CONTRIBUTION IS WITHOUT

SIGNIFICANCE”

- Who speaks of his list of conquests, but speaks nothing about the benefits. Well there
is nothing wrong about being ambitious. Dreaming of being successful and have
achieved a great things in someone’s life and not have lived a life being conceited.
However, the point that stuck in my mind by the insightful speech of one of the
character is that we shouldn’t be carried away by the dream of ambition because pure
ambition without the intention of contribution to the world, is selfish, self-centered and
tends to lead to destruction of oneself and the surroundings. And dream a successful.
