CONFLICTS TOWARD LEARNING

They play important role inside the class. In teaching, encountering conflicts is
normal especially during classes. Disturbance, noise and miscommunication is simple
kinds of conflict that usually happen. Sometimes the personality of teacher and
students can be also a cause of conflict. The major cause of miscommunication is
when the teacher gives direction and student misinterpret or didn't listen carefully.
Misunderstanding the instructions in activity is a factor of conflict too.

Teachers have different approach in teaching their students. There are two types of
students, the analytical are the one who like to do things step by step or they want to
learn more they like to do detailed works, and the other one is the global thinkers who
want to see a big picture first before they will learn the lesson or they want a
summarization. Most of the teachers are analytical thinkers,they teach step by step
procedure in solving math problems, this is a frustration to the globally thinker
students. In this case there is already a conflict because the teacher must know first if
most of his/her student is a global thinker or analytical thinker so he/she can adjust in
teaching, teachers must be more patient in teaching so the students can understand the
lessons. To avoid conflicts, good communication to each parties is very important so
talking or having a clear conversation is a must, so that conflicts can be abolished.
