STREETS

MAIN STREET : It is usually a focal point for shops & retailers in the central business district, and it is most often used in
reference to retailing & socializing

HIGH STREET : Frequently used for the street name of the primary business street of town or cities. Especially in United
Kingdom

FORE STREET : Often used for main street of a town or village

OVERPASS : In many countries including India an overpass is normally a bridge for motor vehicle to pass over the other
road or rail traffic

SKYWAY : It is usually used in the US for long & high bridges for traffic.

FREEWAY : It is a type of highway which has been designed for high speed vehicular traffic.

BOULEVARD : A type of large road , usually running through a street.

AVENUE : Is traditionally a straight route with a line of tree or large shrubs running.

ESPLANADE : An esplanade is a long open level area usually next to a rive or large body of water, where people may
walk.

Alley : A narrow passageway between or behind a building.
