COOKIE’S DEBUT

JULIE: Good evening everyone. Welcome to an Enchanting starry night party of our
charming debutant who is now turning into a fine lady. This is quite a very important event in
her life and she is very much honor for your presence. Like Wendy in the movie Peter Pan,
no more fairy tale stories every night. She is now a real lady as she stepped into the much
higher level of what we call LIFE/Adulting. As a jumpstart, let us all welcome and
acknowledge the ever supportive and loving family of our debutant:
FATHER: MR. ROSALINO MONTINOLA JR
MOTHER: MRS. LENY MONTINOLA
YOUNGER SISTER: ALYSSA ‘KIKAY’ MONTINOLA

JULIE: Tonight is a celebration of adulthood and a thanksgiving of the life God has given to
our lovely celebrant. Let us all stand as we welcome the main highlight of this celebration,
and as she stepped into a higher level of life, ladies and gentlemen, let’s give a big round of
applause to our debutant, CHRISTLEE ROSS ‘COOKIE’ MONTINOLA.
Grand Entrance of Debutant
JULIE: Wow, blooming and lovely, indeed! Evidently, before tonight, Cookie has had happy
years in a very happy home. The love of a family will always be God’s greatest blessing. As
they’ve said, in life we can have several friends, classmates, and social circles, but there is
only one family who is always willing and ready to welcome us no matter what. To welcome
all of us to their lovely daughter’s 18th birthday party, here’s Daddy Jun Montinola/Leny
Montinola to give us a welcome remarks.
Welcome Remarks – Ta Inday/To Jun2x

debutant by group. As I call your groups, please move forward, then after taking picture, you
can proceed sa dinner.
Prayer before meals
Dinner/Distribution of tokens
JULIE: To fill the room with music while we are having our dinner, we will be serenaded by
first: Guia Nierves then followed by Jerry Picar Jr. And while eating dinner, to show the
family’s gratitude of your presence, they will be distributing a simple token just for you.
What you will be receiving is just a symbol of her gratitude and enlightenment for your
presence on her 18th birthday.
*********************AFTER DINNER********
JULIE: Once again, a splendid evening to one and all! Tonight is definitely filled with a
bundle of surprises for our dear Cookie. Adding up to the list, here’s a video greeting from
the people from all over the world who are closest to our dear debutant.
AVP plays – Video Greetings
JULIE: All of you who are here tonight are closest to Cookie. As they’ve said, friendship is a
million little things. This time, I’d like to ask Cookie’s dear friends this question: “What is
that one word that best describes our debutant, and why?”
*****18 TREASURES******
JULIE: As our debutante celebrates the beginning of womanhood, she will need tools that
either help her in the future, encourage her in the present, or give her something fond to look
back on. So, we have here some of her family members and friends to give her special gifts
and then they will explain how they will become inspirations for her. These “treasures”
represent the friendship between the giver and the debutante, because they indicate how well
they know each other. Let us start off with:
*****NAMES 18 TREASURES********** (GROUP PICTURE AFTER)
***TRIVIA SA AUDIENCE *** -
1. Why do you name her Christlee?
2. What makes her cry when she was a child?
3. What makes her cry now?
***FATHER AND DAUGHTER SPECIAL DANCE NUMBER***
JULIE: For a lot of girls, the 18 roses is a highlight of the debut program. It represents a
girl’s readiness in the area of romance, as was the original purpose of the debut. But before
our guys here can dance with our debutant, she will be danced first by the most important
man in her life. This also signifies the daughter’s first step to womanhood and the father’s
acceptance of this period in his daughter’s life. So now, let’s welcome her father…. Mr. Jun
Montinola.
******18 ROSES*****
JULIE: Tito Jun2x, will now be followed by Cookie’s Circle of 18 gentle bachelors who will
offer to her roses that symbolize love. Love which Cookie has for her family and all the
people in her life. Each bachelor after giving Cookie a rose will dance with her with the
background music dedicated by each guy to the debutante and each guy will need to wait for
the next guy’s turn. Please don’t leave our debutant alone on the floor. Let us start with…
*****NAMES 18 ROSES******** (GROUP PICTURE)
***SPECIAL NUMBER BY THE DEBUTANT FRIEND***
JULIE: We will now hear a special number from Cookie’s friend.
***TRIVIA SA AUDIENCE 2***
4. Most embarrassing moment with Cookie.
5. What makes Cookie’s day very happy?
6. What do you think Cookie’s strong positive trait?
*****18 BILLS****
JULIE: The 18 bills symbolize financial stability and independence. They are also known as
“the 18 thousands” and are among the most recent rituals in debut parties. This time, we have
18 selected family members and friends who will give the 18 bills and will give financial
advices. Let’s start with:
****NAMES 18 BILLS****(GROUP PICTURE)
*****18 CANDLES****
JULIE: Let us now proceed to the 18 candles. This symbolizes a girl as an independent
member of society. This involves the women who are important to the debutante—as
advisors, teachers, and trusted peers. These women will give a speech and advice, and state
their well-wishes for the debutante. They then each light a candle that symbolizes light—light
that will guide the girl on her life journey. Once all 18 candles have been lit, the debutant will
blow it one by one. Let’s start with:
*****NAMES 18 CANDLES***** (GROUP PICTURE)
BLOWING OF CANDLE
JULIE: And now, our lovely and stunning Cookie will blow the candles on her birthday cake.
But before that, let us all sing joyfully a song I am very sure everybody is familiar with, the
happy birthday song! Let us give 18 claps for Cookie. Thank you very much. You can blow
your 18 candles and make a wish. It is now time to cut the cake. As Cookie has reached the
age of maturity, she will now cut the cake and give a portion to her parents as a symbol of
love and gratefulness to them.’
****Debutant makes a wish and blows the candles. ***
****SPECIAL NUMBER BY THE DEBUTANT WITH HER COUSINS****
JULIE: Sharing is one of the virtues Cookie’s possesses because it is what her parents taught
her. To share to us one of her talents, let us hold our breath and fix our attention to what she
will be given to us, ladies and gentlemen, let’s welcome Cookie with her cousins.
TOAST FOR A SUCCESSFUL LIFE
The wine symbolizes commitment and triumph. Cookie is considered victorious because she
is able to reach the debutant age and it is a great time for this kind of celebration. To toast
with her the wine for a long lasting victory of her life, let us all call in the following special
persons who are in one way or another became a part of her life through thick and thin, ups
and downs, right and wrong and sometimes good and bad times of life. Once again Cookie’s
Family (Ta Inday, To Jun2x, Kikay) to be with here for the wine toast. (O hai yo)’CHEERS’
DEBUTANTE’S SPEECH
JULIE: Tonight’s celebration tells me that the best demonstration of gratitude in response to a
wonderful experience like this one can be contained in an overwhelming thank you. To
officially confirm the heat and legality of this party, let us now hear the speech to be given of
course by our gorgeous debutante… no other than… Christlee Ross ‘Cookie’ Montinola.
PARTY TIME!!!
JULIE: The night is young, and so are we, diba? Are you ready to party? We have just
actually started. Again, thank you for coming here to celebrate Cookie’s debut. Let us all
greet her again “Happy birthday, Cham! At the count of three…1, 2, 3, HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
