Course Location:
The Mel Hall course is located at Spring Lake High School (16140 148th Avenue, Spring Lake, Michigan 49456). The course is
behind the high school near the soccer, lacrosse, and track complex.

Course Information:
Please have your athletes stay on the trails and within school property. The course follows through both woods and open fields.
We try to mark all roots but please be advised that there could be unmarked roots in the trail. The course is marked every .25
mile. Please limit the amount of traffic on the track with spikes please!

Spectator Parking:
Spectators may park in the Spring Lake Fitness and Aquatic Center parking lot adjacent to the high school. There are paved
sidewalks out to the track.

Bus Drop Off/Pick Up & Parking:

All buses may drop off/pick-up and park behind the track at 16399 144th Avenue (please note the school owns this residential
house and property, this is the correct location). Please look over attached parking map.
Division/Awards:
There will be one high school boys and girls race. There will be no JV race. All schools will race together. Medals will be given to
the overall top 20 boys and 20 girls. New for 2019 – There will be two divisions for the Mel Hall, Red and Gray Divisions (based
on school size). First place/Runner-Up trophies will be given in both divisions.

Red Division
Grand Haven, Mona Shores, Jenison (B), GR Kenowa Hills, Spring Lake, Coopersville, Fruitport, Allendale(G), Whitehall, Fremont

Gray Division
Detroit Country Day, Oakridge, Grant, Hart, Shelby, Grandville Calvin Christian, Holland Black River, Muskegon Catholic Central

Tents & Restrooms:

Please use the designated areas for tents. Tents may be placed behind the track and near the shot put areas. No tents are
allowed on the infield of the track. Restrooms are available for teams at the track, the soccer/LAX complex and in the high
school. Please follow signs. Athletes, coaches, spectators are asked not to go into the school beyond marked areas.

Bibs & Results:

Professionally chip timed by Michiana Timing. Live results and posted immediately after race and online.

Shirts:
Mel Hall Invitational short sleeved shirts will be available for purchase at the event. The cost is $10 per shirt.
