QUESTION 1
a) The engagement of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in companies have
become very important in recent years. Discuss three (3) general importance of CSR.
Describe the purpose and give two (2) benefits if CSR is considered as Value Creation.

b) Determine the key skills required in developing a CSR project. Explain briefly the
common problem within the phases of the project development and provide suggestions
to overcome the problems.

QUESTION 2

a) The Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia
(IEM) are two important bodies for engineers in Malaysia. Define three (3) functions of
BEM and three (3) objectives of IEM.

b) Professional Engineer applicants are required to fulfil 3 years registration as a graduate


engineer with 3 years practical experience as specified in regulation 22(1) before being
eligible to apply via route 3 (section 10(2)(d) of the registration of engineers act 1967
(revised 2015). Describe three (3) the types of practical experience required under the
provision.

c) The Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) created the Code of Professional Conduct of
an engineer as the guidelines for the engineering profession and consists of main
sections and subsections. State three (3) main sections and describe with the aid of at
least three (3) subsections in this code.

a) Define the following terms and give a suitable example for each term;
i) Corruption, ii) Bribe iii) Whistle blowing and, iv) Plagiarism

b) Explain the steps required in handling cases where an employee engages in misconduct
or alleged misconduct. Describe the action that be taken to employee during and after
the investigation according to the different levels of misconduct. Give a suitable example
to support your explanation.

c) You are part of the management team of XYZ electronic company. Less than a month
after launching its new model of smartphone, your company received reports that the
phone was prone to overheating and spontaneous combustion. It has gone viral in social
media. Suggest how the company should respond to this image crisis. Your answer
must include extensive contingency plan and steps to manage this crisis.

b) Explain the differences between Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and Gross National
Income (GNI) indicators in measuring economic growth in this country. From the
financials aspect, how the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) affects the citizen?

Deposit (estimated interest rate of 5.5% per-year) if his plan is to get accumulative of

to applu for car loan. Based on Husaini monthly wages and commitments, the banker

on financial analysis, determine if it is possible or not for Husaini purchase his dream
car.

method.
