Engineering is a very old activity that has been done since 8000 years ago in Africa and Asia from
the productive activities like farming, domesticate animals and create houses. The engineering help
to improve the productions and distribute in best way the goods; men learned to control the fire,
used some metals and invented a counting system.

In the middle ages engineering was in its best manifestation, in this age the word engineering was
first used when a catapult was created and used in the siege of walled cities also the use of carbon
begging to be very necessary for the human life on the other hand the use of paper and the invention
of the printing press that permit engineering shared to more people.

Religion always has been the more representative engineering worker because the man searches
the way to exalt gods for example the pyramids of Egyp monuments and tombs; simultaneously in
Greece and Rome the engineers begin to do buildings with stones that have a many weight
becoming leaders in the arch and vault used to build tombs, bridges and aqueducts.

The first engineer was Pytreos who built the Halicarnoso Mausoleum in the year 355 A.C, beginning
in a pioneer in the engineering. There are too many important engineers like Newton, Pascal,
Fermat, Descartes, among others that created a lot of significate things that we still use, but there
is a very relevant engineer who created the gas turbine, the machine gun and the helicopter, this
engineer was Leonardo Da Vinci who promote to the development of the scientific method.

The engineering has been creating a lot of necessary and impressive things like roads, bridges,
tunnels, dikes, ports and many more. Engineering was an important pillar for the industrial
revolution thanks to the fusion between science and technology.

All these things show us the importance of engineering in a such as whit out it men would not have
been possible the transformation of the nature to improve the human life, all the things that has
been created don’t exists without engineering.
