INSPECTION DONE ON PPC DRILL RIG IN

MARCH 2019
Air Regulation.

 The Regulating valve kept sticking and would cause the machine to fail to regulate
between minimum and maximum pressures. Was stripped , cleaned and re-assembled
and has been working ever since. The repair was a quick fix and will require replacement
as a long term solution.
 Regulating Spring for Rev control needs replacement.
 Fit missing air gauges.
 Remove and polish butterfly
 On the last inspection diaphragm on the engine control looked worn. May need
replacement or change complete unit if service kit not available.
 Remove and service Running Blow down Valve
 Remove and service Shut Down Blow Down Valve
 Remove and Clean Scavenge Circuit to prevent excess oil escaping with Service Air.

Hydraulics

 Damaged fitting High Pressure hose. Hose needs replacement.

 Damaged Rotation Circuit Hoses need replacement.
 Need to service Hydraulic System
 Use amour guard on high pressure hoses to prevent chaffing.
 Fit missing hydraulic gauges.
 Will require thorough hose inspection.

Repair Costs

The last time we had given a budget indication using USD at +/- 3000.
However since financial policies have since changed we will get fresh
quotes and quote in local currency. We should have quotes sent to you
Friday or Monday latest. It is important to Note that the parts are Ex-
Outside the country and we would then ask for 50% down payment so
we can source Forex. The quote will give the timelines for repairs and
Delivery.
