To the reader,

This portfolio includes all the plates

created in the subject, Technical Drafting.
It shows the work and completed outputs
passed by yours truly our subject teacher,
Mr Harley Parilla. The outputs in this
portfolio are also proof that I passed my
requirements needed in this subject. There
is my reflection and self-evaluation about
things I learned from this subject. Lastly, it
includes my goals both short and long
term.

Yours Truly,

Goal Setting

The short term goals I have set for myself are to

improve my weaknesses and enable my skills in
technical drafting. Hoping to fix my bad penmanship
and lettering and be more careful when doing things.
I want to be able to graduate Senior High School
happily and apply the learning I’ve experienced in
my college years.

While my long term goals are to not forget what I

had learned and continuously apply it in my job as
an engineer in the future. 4 or 5 years from now, I
want to graduate from college and pass the licensure
exam. Starting out as an engineer to be able to
enhance my skills in all fields and be versatile
towards any challenges I face. I learned and will
continue to learn more and may

my success bring honour and happiness to my

former teacher.
Self-Evaluation

I consider myself in this subject as a student who has

learned something and understood the topics. I can
execute and understand how to draft the given
dimensions yet a large amount of patience is
required to be able to complete successfully. Since
this subject is about drafting different kinds of
objects and how to project them, it needs you to be
able to comprehend and analyse everything carefully
rather than hastily rushing and having many erasures
which results to deductions and untidiness.

I always tend to be careless with my work thus

creating a bad output. I admit that my lettering is bad
especially in the title blocks, but I am determined to
practice and practice until my lettering is better. This
subject may seem plain and simple but after some
time, I realized the beauty and complexity of
drafting.
Reflection

Technical drawings are a vital part of the design

process in building construction, interior renovation

and engineering. You cannot, specify, quote on and

build anything structural form without technical

drawings. I think the general importance is the

convenience it brings to our life. It is preferred

method of drafting in all engineering fields, it will be

a struggle to learn it in school but will pay off and

help me in my career in the future. Precision is of the

utmost importance in this subject, as drafts in all

fields of engineering are expected to be scaled,

labelled and arranged exactly as the final product

would be. Life isn’t easy but despite it all, I managed

to keep my head up and continue to fight

throughout. I am proud of what I’ve gone through

and mostly, what I’ve become.
