examples of a topic. This website also provides topics with three devided levels (Beginning Level,
Intermediate Level, and Advanced Level), so we can choose the topic based on our own capability. All of
the videos in VOA Every Day Grammar TV also recorded in tolerable speed, hence it is easy to grasp the
material. Moreover all the videos are subtitled.This website frequently updates their learning videos and
audios that are simple to understand. Both the audios and videos can be downloaded easily, therefore we
can listen to it while offline. In VOA Every Day Grammar TV, there is also a practice after the audio to verify

an overwhelming amount of explanation about any kind of grammar rules. Furthermore, the grammar
explanation are understandable, informative and condensed. In this website, there is also an English Level
Test uses to recognize your own level of English, thus you can choose the particular grammar topics which
is compatible with your level. For me, this website is the best because it allows me to learn all kinds of
grammar explanations. Additionally, it contains the index of grammar pages which use to look up
grammar information I want to know. British Council also offers search facility that I can find at the top of
the page to search specific topic. At the end of each grammar explanation, we can find an instructive
exercise to answer. I have tried to answer the exercise to get to know of how deep my understanding
about the topic. The last important thing about this website is games. There are some educative games in
British Council website, that is edficient for practicing your grammar.

- Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA)

Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA) is the biggest online English Corpus. Corpus is
a set of written or spoken language presented in electronic form, and COCA is the most universally-used
corpus of English. COCA also provides some genres, such as spoken, fiction, popular magazines,
newspapers, and academic texts. These will enable us to select a particular genre based on our interest.
Corpus of Contemporary American English has five major search functions: List, KWIC, Collocates,
Compare, and Chart. List is the most basic function, and it is used to see the wider context around the
word or phrase. By using List, I can discover a huge amount of sentences which is used the target word or
phrase. The second search function of COCA is Key Word in Context (KWIC). KWIC is used for looking at
the types of words that occur around the target word. KWIC allows me to know about what types of
patterns mark particular phrases or words and how to distinguish them from other words or phrases.
Collocates are the third search function in COCA. It is helpful for discovering when two words co-occur or
occur together frequently. Collocates help me to know the meaning and usage of a word by looking for
what words occur near the target words. Another major search function is Compare. Compare is used to
look at two words that are similar and how they are used differently. By using this search function, I can
discover the differences between two words that I always think they are similar. The last search function
in COCA is Chart. Chart is beneficial for knowing about what register is the target word or phrase
particularly used and what section is the target word or phrase commonly used. In my opinion, COCA is
an ideal websites for learning English grammar, and I can get a lot of benefits because of using COCA. I
can know various examples of context around a word or phrase, and I can discover what words that have
a really strong association with each other. Moreover, I can understand how to differentiate a word or
phrases from the others, the differences between two similar words, and where is the the word commonly
used.
